Frequently Asked Questions

Aren't all vinyl windows really about the same?
No. There are many different ways windows are manufactured and many different quality levels. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. You need to consider the type of glass being used, the energy efficient characteristics, the type of materials used in the frame and the coatings on the glass.

What does ENERGY STAR mean?
ENERGY STAR was created to help consumers easily identify products that meet the United States Department of Energy specifications, ensuring the consumer that they will save energy all year. Our windows and doors are ENERGY STAR rated and quite often cut your energy bill by up to 40%.

Energy and Cost Savings
Energy efficient windows are designed so that heat is kept inside the home in winter and outside the home in summer. This reduces heating and cooling costs, minimizes energy consumption that impacts the environment and limits the size of the HVAC equipment required for keeping the home comfortable.

What happens if I get moisture between the glass?
When this happens the thermal seal has broken. Our glass units carry a non-prorated glass warranty including glass breakage from any source for as long as you live in your home and would be replaced at no charge to you including the labor or trip charges.

What glass options and color options do I have?
All of our windows have either LoE, Argon Gas or LoE Krypton Gas. We offer either dual pane, triple pane or KeepSafe glass. A great selection of specialty glass is available, such as leaded glass, beveled glass and obscure glass. Several different color options are available, including white, almond, dark brown, wood grains and even several two tone combinations.

Who will perform the actual installation of my windows?
Our trained craftsmen will install your new windows with pride and expertise. They will not be practicing on your home. This will ensure both a quality installation and a beautiful job every time. They respect you and your property and are eager to satisfy you. The most frequent nation wide problem with windows is improper installation, accounting for over 70% of the complaints. Our installers average over 12 years experience each.

How long does a window installation usually take?
Most jobs can be completed in one day, including clean up. If the job takes longer, we will be back the next day to finish and the job will not be dragged on forever like some of you may have heard about.

How can we finance our purchase?
Our goal is to fit the job into you budget and comfort level.

How will the outside of the windows be finished?
After the new windows have been installed (most generally from the outside), and all interior work is completed, we will go outside to each window and cover all exterior wood casing with a custom fit prefinished metal material which is sealed and weather tight.

How long will my home be exposed to the weather?
Not very long. Each old window that we take out will be replaced and the opening will be weather tight before we move on to the next window.

How do I dispose of the old windows?
You don't. We will take the old windows and clean all the debris from the job site and dispose of it. We will haul off all the left over materials and old windows and remove them from your land to an environmentally friendly location that makes your land maintain its value and increase the value of your home by keeping all the unwanted rubbish from around your home. All the windows will be cleaned and free from any stickers or glue. Ready for you to enjoy.
